| Background: |
Working directly to the Head of ICT, the postholder will be responsible for co-ordinating and providing wide ranging support for the National Museums ICT services. Such services will include the maintenance and support for networks and systems, hardware and software support, PC’s and associated peripherals and operating systems.
The postholder will be expected to take a very pro-active role in developing and designing ICT solutions in our galleries and exhibitions, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of information technology and telecommunications systems for National Museums.
The postholder will also contribute to the development of the ICT strategy, standards, policies, and codes of practice and play a key role in overseeing their implementation. In addition to this, the post is also very much a hands on support position requiring a high level of technical knowledge and ability to apply this to daily tasks. |
