New exhibition creates a ‘room with a view’

A new photographic exhibition will reveal the dramatic landscape of Ulster’s coast and countryside, when it opens in the Belfast Room at the Ulster Museum this week.

Enter a 1900s winter wonderland for the Spirit of Christmas Past event, at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum on Sunday 12th December. Join the townspeople in song from 11am to 4pm, as they sing along to classic Christmas songs performed by the carolers, and soak up the festive atmosphere as the brass band plays in Ballycultra Town.

Singing star Peter Corry will return to the Rail Gallery at the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum this December with ‘The Music Box’ - a Christmas extravaganza. Also sharing the stage with Peter will be a host of other performers including ballet dancers and various school choirs from throughout Northern Ireland.
Surprise Museum Wedding for Bangor Groom

A wedding is usually something a couple plans together for many months but for one local man, this was far from the case. David Hunsdale, a gymnastics coach in Bangor, was thrown a surprise wedding by his fiancée at the Ulster Museum on Sunday 10th October.
South Belfast Group get 'Rite' into International History

This week, a women’s group from South Belfast saw six months of work come to fruition at the Ulster Museum. Earlier this year, the Living History Group at Windsor Women’s Centre embarked upon a project inspired by the museum’s ‘Rites of Passage’ exhibition.
