The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum has a collection of around 1200 pencil sketches by the Belfast artist William Conor (1881-1968). Some are preparatory drawings for bigger paintings but many are sketches in their own right. The drawings are a wonderful record of the everyday world of the people of Belfast and surrounding areas. They date from the period 1904-1920, mainly.
