Dan Harvey, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, National Museums, thanked all the contributors for their effort remarking how the Museum had supported the arts in Armagh.

The task of judging the paintings fell to the Mayor Thomas O'Hanlon, in what was one of his final duties before leaving office. There were four paintings to choose including the overall winner of the Summer Island cup.

In what was clearly not an easy job, the Mayor explained which paintings had caught his eye before announcing his decision.

The exhibition continues until Friday 3rd September and all works are for sale.
