Christmas Family Day

Building on the success of the Halloween event, Armagh County Museum fully embraced the spirit of Christmas by putting on another seasonal family day on Saturday 12th December
Children enjoyed making funky Christmas trees, decoupage (paper design) decorations, cards, angels and pomanders (made from oranges and cloves).
Objects and information placed throughout the gallery told the story behind many traditional Christmas practices. Children became detectives for the day and followed the seasonal trail to find the answers. Many became experts on Christmas pastimes before the left!
The positive comments expressed by visitors have encouraged Museum to create a similar experience for Easter and are pleased to announce that the next family day will take place on Saturday 3rd April 12noon-4pm.
