Speciality workshops for schools

Along with learning workshops which cover the topics of Toys, Homes, WWII, The Stone Age/Archaeology, Victorian School Day and the Vikings, the Museum will also be offering the  following speciality sessions.

  • Harvest Workshops- explore Harvest traditions and make a harvest knot.Rachel McCance, Learning and Outreach Officer during the Harvest workshop for schools
    24th September- 11th October (Monday-Thursday)
  • Big Draw- Artist led workshops.
    15th-19th October (Monday- Friday)
  • Drama Workshops- based around the Hiring Fairs and involving costume and props.
    5th-15th November (Monday- Thursday)
  • Christmas Workshops- explore Victorian Christmas traditions and crafts.
    4th-19th December (Monday- Thursday)

 Pupils learning how to make a harvest knotAll workshops are free of charge.

Book early to avoid disappointment as sessions are popular. 

All sessions are designed to support the NI Curriculum and details can be provided.

All workshops are suitable for P4 upwards apart from Christmas sessions which can be tailored to P1 and above.
