Drawing workshops led by Newry based artist Jim Russell.
As part of the National Gallery of Ireland’s 6th National Drawing Day, Armagh County Museum is offering workshops for young people.
The day will involve two sessions:
The morning session
Designed for primary school children (7-11 years old). This session will use the animal and bird collections for creative inspiration. So let imaginations run wild and join in the funfilled session of drawing and craft activities.
The afternoon session
Designed for secondary school aged young people this session will look at still-life. A scene will be created using a selection of domestic objects from the collections. This is an opportunity to try out new techniques, pick up tips and may be of particular interest to GCSE, AS and A Level Art students.
