Armagh Wildlife Society Lectures

Time/Date - Wednesday 18 May - Thursday 15 March

Grey SquirrelThe Society was originally founded as Armagh Field Naturalists Society in 1952 by a small group of Armagh people interested in wildlife. AFNS began with less than a dozen members; but over the years grew into one of the most active field clubs in Northern Ireland.

After the 50th anniversary of AFNS, the Society was reconstituted as County Armagh Wildlife Society with the intention of building on the legacy of AFNS, and continuing the tradition of natural history study and recording in Co Armagh.

The Society promotes a programme of events each year. This consists mainly of presentations and talks from October to March held in Armagh County Museum, and field outings which last through the Spring, Summer and Autumn.
