The National Museums Northern Ireland will establish and ensure the highest international standards in all aspects of its work. These will apply to the collections and the care they receive. Our collections will continue to develop on a carefully planned basis, and increased access will be assured for our archives and resources for study. We will work towards the highest standards in scholarship, stewardship and interpretation to meet and exceed the expectations of our visitors.

Our scholarship will be widely published and will be accessible via the internet and world wide web. As Northern Ireland’s national museum, our remit includes giving leadership and committing to increasing access to cultural heritage through the network
of museums of the region.
