Reminiscence

Bringing the Museum to You
Loan Box Service; we recently launched our loan box service, which aims to support people in reminiscence activity in many different localities and organisations throughout the local area and beyond.

Our boxes of 'memories' contain everyday objects on themes useful to reminiscence groups and people of all ages who wish to use the activity of reminiscence to appreciate their life stories as a rich resource for themselves, their families and their communities. Current loan boxes available from the Folk Park are Home Life, Schooldays, Leaving Home, 1950’s and Rural Life.

Reminiscence Workshops
Have a great day out with our tailor made reminiscence activities. We can help you plan a visit to suit your group’s needs, with support from the reminiscence worker and hands on activities.

Reminiscence Training and Networking
Reminiscence training and life story work with individuals, families and small groups is also on offer several times a year. If you are interested in attending a training course or if you are a local network interested in creative reminiscence and heritage activity, please contact Deirdre Doherty, Reminiscence Worker + 44 (0) 28 8225 6325 or email deirdredoherty@rnni.org.

The Project is run in partnership with the Valuing Heritage By Valuing Memories project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
