Time/Date -
20:00 - 21:30, Wednesday 15 December - Thursday 16 December
From the songs of Bing Crosby to Shane MacGowan and using visual images from Jack B Yeats to John Ford; from the candlelit Mummers and tales around the hearth to the brash new world of Vaudeville and beyond, the stories of those who left these shores in search of a new life are told.
Using archive photographs and film footage, drama, song, music and dance, the emigrant experience will be explored.
Held in the unique setting of the Ship and Dockside Gallery, this special production weaves the lives of the emigrant and the immigrant through what they left, what they found, what they did and of course with Christmas!
