Sound archive
The Museum's Sound Archive is the only purpose-built facility of it type in Northern Ireland. The archive reflects the activities not only of museum staff in the areas of folklife and transport, but also the work of other interested persons. Recordings relating to transport, industry, crafts, folklore, language, traditional music and song are only a few of the topics embraced.
Oral history interviews are drawn from a wide cross-section of the local community and often give detailed accounts of cultural and historical value.
