Click to enlarge: Flight gallery at the Ulster Folk & Transport GalleryNorthern Ireland has long been associated with aircraft production.  The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum's aviation collection includes a dozen aircraft.

One of the most interesting is a Short Sealand flying boat.  It was designed and built in Belfast in 1952 for a wealthy Egyptian. This twin-engined aircraft was originally fitted with a bookcase and a wine rack, in keeping with her status as a flying yacht.
