About Live and Learn

Live and Learn is a five year outreach project run by National Museums Northern Ireland and funded by Big Lottery. The project is delivered in association with Age NI. Live and Learn, uses the collections and resources of National Museums to develop and deliver creative programmes across Northern Ireland specifically for the over-50 age group.

Programmes draw upon the collections of National Museums Northern Ireland and participants' interests and experience.

Programmes can be developed to include:

  • Traditional crafts
  • Drama
  • Movement
  • Oral history and digital story telling
  • Visual arts and crafts
  • Intergenerational work

Programmes can take place in the community or at one of our museum sites and cater to the interests of participants and to the levels of commitment. Above all, Live and Learn programmes are to be enjoyed and aim to promote the health and wellbeing of everyone involved. Corpus Christi Services with the Patchwork Story Quilt
