Spirit of The Titanic - Meet the Author

This Autumn schools are invited to meet Nicola Pierce, author of the compelling new novel ‘Spirit of the Titanic’.

Image of Nichola Pierce, TitanicThe book follows the story of 15 year old Samuel Scott, who worked on a riveting squad in 1910 and helped build the Titanic in the Harland and Wolff shipyard. 

However, before the ship was ever launched, Samuel died in an accidental fall from a gantry.  In this story, Samuel’s spirit is able to accompany the luxurious liner, Titanic, observe its passengers, the grandeur of the ship and the final moments of that fateful night in April 1912.

Nicola will read from the novel, discuss its inspiration and speak about various aspects of Titanic and its story.

  • Suitable for ages 10-15 years.
  • £3.25 per student (includes admission to both the Folk and Transport Museum)

The author is available to meet with school groups on the dates below, the time will be arranged with each school when the booking is confirmed.
