Ulster Museum wins Best Permanent Exhibition in the UK

The new Ulster Museum has won the top award for the Best Permanent Exhibition in United Kingdom museums.The award was announced in London at the annual Museums and Heritage Awards against stiff competition from the Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Ashmolean Museum.

The Ulster Museum in Belfast has been short-listed for the UK’s largest single arts prize, it was announced last night. The Art Fund Prize annually awards £100,000 to a museum or gallery for a project completed in the last year.

An international-scale charm offensive to promote Poland and its community in host cities throughout UK comes to Belfast this week. Part of the Polish-government backed Polska Year, Belfast’s Polish Cultural Week which is now in its fourth year includes music recitals and gigs, debates, fashion, food, photography and design exhibitions, kicks off in the Ulster Museum on Wednesday May 5.
