* Please note that in line with National Museums Northern Ireland Byelaws and Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy we reserve the right to refuse entry to any person under the age of 18 if unaccompanied by a parent, group leader or supervising adult.
The Ulster Museum is located in Belfast City Centre overlooking the Botanic gardens. Although this is a fantastic location this can prove problematic for parking. Where possible we recommend you use the city park and ride scheme or use public transport.
Local on-street parking is available but limited.
Park and ride:

At certain times of the year some galleries may be closed due to refurbishment, ongoing maintenance or exhibition changeover. Please see below the list of our current gallery closures:
- Art Gallery 2 is currently closed while we install "New Art, New Nature" and is due to reopen on Friday 10 October.
- The Plantation to Power-Sharing Gallery is closed for refurbishment and is due to reopen in November 2014.
- Occasionally the "Order and Revolution" exhibition in Art Gallery 3 may be closed in the afternoon. You can check that the exhibition is open by calling the Welcome Desk on T: 028 9044 0000 between 10am and 5pm Tuesday – Sunday.
