Make your Objects World Famous!

Time/Date - 10:00 - 16:00, Saturday 11 September

A History of the World is a unique partnership between the BBC, the British Museum and museums across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. To mark our involvement with this project we are inviting you to bring along your own man-made objects to be examined by our expert curators.

Salamandar, Ulster Museum collectionThe objects don't need to be of great monetary value but simply objects which help to tell a local and a global story. A team from the BBC will be on site to add pictures of your objects to A History of the World's website.

The BBC bus will be in site for you to board and explore and you can record your own thoughts on objects in our special video booth outside Discover History.

Throughout the day Jig Time will be entertaining visitors in the Welcome Zone with their lively traditional music.

You will also be able to find out more about some of National Museums Northern Ireland’s unique objects, like Takabuti the Egyptian Mummy and the Titanic launch ticket.

Children will be able to take part in a special themed Relic: Guardians of the Museum trail, inspired by the CBBC series.
