Street art continues to generate strong opinions, even as it enters the mainstream and is collected by celebrities, exhibited in galleries and used to advertise everything from cars to coffee.
This free discussion provides an opportunity to share ideas and grapple with some of the key questions, such as – is street art vandalism? Should street art be shown in museums and galleries? Do Northern Ireland’s political murals count as street art? Have street artists sold out? Come along to hear different viewpoints, and add your own thoughts to the debate.
Event Information:
This lecture is free to attend and will take place in the Ulster Museum Lecture Theatre located on the ground floor of the museum. As places are limited please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
