Please see below for the latest updates in relation to our museums and the COVID-19 situation.

Following the latest guidance from the NI Executive, we are delighted that the Ulster Museum, Ulster Folk Museum, Ulster Transport Museum and Ulster American Folk Park are all open and ready to welcome you back.

The safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority and all visitors to our museums must pre-book tickets in advance to help us monitor the number of people on our sites at once. Pre-book your date and time slot now using our online booking system.

Regulations requiring proof of Covid-19 status are currently only in place for evening events, events taking place in the lecture theatre at Ulster Museum and upon entering Cultra Manor. You will not be required to show proof of Covid-19 status across our four sites as a visitor or for day time events, unless they take place in Ulster Museum lecture theatre. You can prove your Covid-19 status by providing one of the following:

  • Digital vaccination certificate or paper certificate and photo ID
  • Text or email confirmation of a negative test or previous positive result and photo ID
  • Evidence you have participated in a clinical trial
  • Medical exemption certificate

Face coverings must be worn in the museum at all times. Those who have a reason not to wear a face covering, as advised here by Government guidelines, will be exempt. Face coverings will be available at our admission desk if you forget to bring your own. Children under 13 don’t have to wear a face covering.

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
