The largest bluegrass festival outside of North America, Bluegrass Omagh is making a rollicking, toe-tappin’, knee-slappin’ return next year - this time in May. With a jam-packed weekend of the best in bluegrass and old-time music, the festival is proud to welcome bluegrass masters from the USA, Australia and Europe, including some of the very best bluegrass acts from across the UK and Ireland.
2020 headline act will be the multi award-winning Appalachian Roadshow, direct from the USA. The band combines the talents of lead singer and banjoist Barry Abernathy, tenor singer and mandolinist extraordinaire Darrell Webb, Grammy award-winning fiddler and producer Jim VanCleve, legendary upright bassist Todd Phillips, and Zeb Snyder on guitar. The group seeks to honour the music, traditions and history of the Appalachian people and regions as much as it does to forge its own fresh musical and entertainment trails.
Also confirmed for the line-up are Jonathan Byrd and The Pickup Cowboys from North Carolina; Americana duo The Honey Dewdrops from Baltimore, USA; Jaywalkers are a UK-based Americana trio and Kristy Cox is the new voice in Australian bluegrass - the first Australian artist ever to appear at Bluegrass Omagh.
