Bluegrass Omagh Music Festival

The 29th annual Bluegrass Omagh Festival returns this May with more of the best in bluegrass music from the USA to the UK, and a jam packed programme of events and activities throughout the weekend.

An update on Bluegrass Omagh 2020

After careful consideration and monitoring of the on-going coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Bluegrass Omagh music festival which was scheduled to take place at the Ulster American Folk Park in May (22nd – 24th).

This follows the decision to close all four of our museums to the public – the Ulster Museum, Ulster Folk Museum, Ulster Transport Museum and Ulster American Folk Park. This is a precautionary measure to protect the health and wellbeing of our community who are our priority at all times.

However we are delighted to let you know that plans are already underway for next year’s Bluegrass Omagh festival which will take place in May 2021 – and will be bigger and better than ever!

Regarding your purchased Bluegrass Omagh 2020 tickets, we’re offering three options for you to choose from:

Option 1 - Convert your purchase to a donation

The Ulster American Folk Park is part of National Museums NI, a registered charity. Your donation can make an impact on every aspect of our museums - from caring for Northern Ireland’s national collections for future generations, to offering a range of educational programs for our school kids, to working with the most vulnerable and socially excluded in our local communities.

Option 2 - Roll your tickets forward

Ticket holders may roll ticket purchases over to Bluegrass Omagh 2021. We’ll honour the ticket price you paid this year and your tickets are guaranteed for next year’s festival, taking place in May 2021. Keep an eye out here for further announcements on next year’s international line-up.

Option 3 - Refund

If neither option 1 or 2 is chosen, we’ll provide a full refund for the price of your tickets.

Tell us what option you would prefer by emailing stephen.weir@nmni.com and we’ll get back in touch to confirm details with you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we hope you, your family and friends are safe in these uncertain times.

We look forward to announcing when we will be able to welcome you back to the Ulster American Folk Park and our other three museums and we would like to thank you for your support and patience.
