A carved and stained sycamore chair representing a scene in Venice. The seat is the water level, the legs below rough carved, above they become mooring posts, the rails as rope knotted and twisted around them and the back of the chair as ladder rails in the form of waves to a flat top which is a carved and stained townscape view of Venice. This is one of a group of pieces including a mirror all inspired by a stay in Venice.
