This is the service jacket of Lord Farnham, an officer of the North Irish Horse regiment. The jacket has a roll collar on which bronze collar badges are paired. On the shoulders there are shoulder straps with a bronze button and the crown and star rank badges of a Lieutenant Colonel. There are four bronzed buttons on front and belt hooks at the waist. The four blue chevrons on the right cuff indicate that the bearer of this uniform served four years in the First World War. The medal ribbons on the breast are: Distinguished Service Order, Queen's South Africa Medal, King's South Africa Medal, 1914 / 15 star, British War Medal, Victory medal. The makers label is inscribed with Lord Farnam's name. The buttons are insribed "NORTH IRISH HORSE" on a circular ribbon with a crowned Maid of Erin on the inside.
