Military Compass

Description:

First World War Prismatic Military Compass with a pearl dial for low light reading, possibly made by Thomas Armstrong & Brothers, Manchester & Liverpool. It was made in 1917. It is inscribed M.I.C. on the back and carries the government ownership mark (broad arrow). The leather case of the compass was made by C & R Brinsley in 1916.
