To the right a man fixes a notice entitled 'Prinsen Hoven van Kop' to a wall, while in the background armed men keep back a crowd of onlookers. An annotation beneath the engraving reads ' His Highness's Arms taken from the gates of several towns - and some of His Palaces and Signories sold'. The print is bound in a book containing 95 engravings depicting the life of William III.
