The Life of William III

Description:

Full page Williamite print showing a party on horseback approaching a city with onlookers. The inscription in French refers to 'the British Majesty entering the town of Dublin 16 July [1690]. The print is numbered '11' in pencil and is bound in a book containing 95 engravings depicting the life of William III. This print, like many others in the series, does not represent an actual view or incident. It was either composed for the series or, more likely, adapted from an existing print.
