The Library in the Folk and Transport Museum holds books magazines and archives which cover all the topics that the Museum is interested in. Come inside and you will find some 25,000 books on everything from cooking to early cars and from folklore to ships. The archives too have a wide scope, and there you can see letters, maps, plans, even early bus and train tickets. Do not forget to take time to sit down read some of the local folk tales collected over many years by the Museum staff. You can see a sample of one of the Folk tales by clicking the link below. The Library also contains many notable collections, such as, those of the D B McNeill & Frank H W Green. All are welcome but do please get in touch with us first by phone or email to arrange a visit.
