Any use of these images should refer to the fact that the work was carried out under the auspices of the Kodak Bursary Scheme.
These photographs were taken by Philip Woods, a photography student at Goldsmiths College London. Woods came to Northern Ireland in 1976-77 on the basis of a Kodak one-year bursary. His brief was to document everyday life during the Troubles focussing in particular on those involved in encouraging reconciliation and the efforts being made to address social problems. The photographs he took record peace rallies and demonstrations, women’s groups, youth activities and community life.
