Linen proof cloth


A proof cloth for a linen huckaback hand towel, with a central (lengthways) and border pattern of large flower heads and foliage. Woven in unbleached and red linen yarn. Loom width 48cm. Unhemmed. A large (10 cm x 14cm) paper label, attached to one corner, carries the proof cloth report, including the information that this sample was woven at the Lower Lodge works on 11th August 1930.
