A hexagonal pincushion. The front is pieced mosiac patchwork -style of twelve diamonds, six of which form a pointed star in the centre. The diamonds are pieced of printed floral and striped dress weight cottons. The back is of a small scale paisley print cotton in bright colours. Attached all around the main seam of the pincushion is a length of fine silk ribbon with tiny rosettes on. Handsewn throughout. Firmly padded with sawdust and/or bran.
