Poster published in 1972 by South Antrim SDLP Branch. 'Join Now,' red text on light green background. An early recruiting poster for the Social Democratic and Labour Party. The SDLP was formed in August 1970 and quickly became the political party representing the views of most Catholic voters in Northern Ireland. It remained the largest northern nationalist party throughout the Troubles but was over-taken electorally by Sinn Fein in the twenty-first century.
