VOTE NI LABOUR

Description:

Election Communication issued by the NILP. 'Vote NI Labour, 1 and 2 according to preference. DAVID BLEAKLEY & SANDY SCOTT.' Addressed to J Nesbitt, 195 Belmont Rd. Published by NILP, 1-5 Cheviot Ave, Belfast. This election leaflet was produced by the Northern Ireland Labour Party for the 1975 Constitutional Convention election. David Bleakley was elected in the East Belfast constituency but Sandy Scott was not. The NILP was now well past the peak of its electoral support and it received less than 1.5% of first preference votes. As with the 1973 Assembly election Bleakley was the only NILP candidate returned to the Convention.
