Ireland Honours Tone

Description:

Poster issued by Sinn Fein, printed in green and orange on white. 'Republican Commemoration Committee, Bodenstown, Sunday 17th June 1979, Ireland Honours Tone.' This poster advertises the annual oration by senior republicans at the grave of Wolfe Tone at Bodenstown. In his first major Bodenstown speech Sinn Fein’s Gerry Adams said that a ‘free, united, socialist and Gaelic’ Ireland was sacrosanct’ it could not be ‘fully re-established by military means.’
