Africa

The Ulster Museum has over 400 African objects in its collection dating from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. These include ornaments, weapons, utensils, textiles and ritual objects used in everyday life. The art of weaving was established very early on the African continent and a wide range of basketwork was made from leaves, bark and reeds.
