A gentler pace in Ballycultra
It can be difficult to connect in the frenzy of modern life. Invite your guests to enjoy the gentler pace of life in Ulster one hundred years ago. They can enjoy soda fresh from the griddle, a bit of craic in the pub, or a lavish dinner in the splendour of an Edwardian tearoom.
The Picture House may look a century old, but it is equipped with modern audio visual technology—a memorable setting for short presentations. As Ballycultra is a large space it requires a minimum of 250 people to create the atmosphere for a great event.
Transport your guests
Entertain your guests in the Transport Museum which houses one of Europe’s most comprehensive transport collections. In the Rail Gallery the steam engines and carriages that once knitted this island together have come to enjoy a long retirement and fascinate visitors.
As guests mingle in the galleries they will discover the original plans for Titanic, trams, buses and fire engines. Here, too, is an original DeLorean, a sure-fire way to spark nostalgic conversation.
This is a unique space that will create an unforgettable evening. There are numerous catering possibilities to add to your guests’ enjoyment.
Elegant Cultra Manor
Cultra Manor was designed for entertaining over 100 years ago and continues to serve that purpose very well today. It combines the look and feel of an Irish country house with the convenience of modern infrastructure. With a variety of spaces it can work well for small receptions or events for up to 200 people.
By using the entire house you can create a reception with a very relaxed feel, however if a more formal feel is required the Edwardian feel of the spaces will also help to create the required atmosphere.
