Mountjoy Meeting House

Hold an intimate wedding ceremony in the Mountjoy Meeting House at the Ulster American Folk Park. Find out how we can help you create your special day.

Steeped in history

The simple, rustic charm of the Mountjoy Meeting House is an enchanting option for a traditional wedding ceremony. It was frequented by Judge Thomas Mellon, a founder of what is today the Bank of New York Mellon, before he emigrated to America. “A venerable old structure” was how he described it. This building is indeed old today, and still retains its charm with whitewashed walls, thatched roof and period furniture and fittings.

Add your story to the many that have graced these pews.

Rustic charm

The Meeting House was the centre of the Mountjoy Presbyterian community. This building is a faithful replica of that building. The pews and pulpit have been lovingly recreated by our craftspeople to recreate the atmosphere of a rural parish church. It creates a lovely setting for elegant traditional weddings.
