Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s iconic Diplodocus dinosaur skeleton, is coming to Belfast.

- When does Dippy on Tour: A Natural History Adventure open at the Ulster Museum?
Dippy will be open to the public from 28th September 2018. Entry will be free, however booking will be essential for entry into the gallery.
Last chance to see Dippy is Sunday 6th January 2019.
- Is it paid for? How much is it?
Entrance to see the Dippy on Tour exhibition is free to the public however we recommend that you pre-book a time slot - especially at peak times such as weekends - as the demand to spend time with Dippy is very high.
- Who is the exhibition suitable for?
The Dippy on Tour exhibition is suitable for all ages.
- Will the exhibition be accessible?
Dippy on Tour is fully accessible.

- How do I book tickets?
Time slot tickets can be booked online through our website when tickets become available to the public in early July 2018.
- Can we bring groups? How do I book a group in?
Group bookings (for parties of 10 or more) are available upon request. Please contact our Dippy Administrator Tel: 028 9044 0067 (9am-1pm Monday – Friday) or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- What is there to see/do? What is the exhibition about?
Dippy himself will obviously be the star attraction, however alongside this there will be an exploration of our natural history through unique collections and exhibits. Visitors will be amazed by Dippy but will also learn about what makes Ireland’s natural history special and what can be done to help protect against environmental impact and extinction.
- How long does it take to see the exhibition?
The average time spent with Dippy is approx. 30-45 mins. After meeting Dippy and enjoying the exhibition, visitors can explore the rest of the Ulster Museum including exploring our extensive natural science galleries.
- How far in advance can I book?
Pre-booking will be available to the public in early July 2018.

- Do I need to print my ticket to see Dippy on Tour?
You can bring along a printed ticket which you will receive in your confirmation email. Alternatively, provided you have a confirmation number and booking receipt we will be able to accept this via smartphone.

- Can I book tickets on the day? Can I just turn up?
While we strongly recommend that you pre-book tickets to see Dippy in order to secure your prefered timeslot, you will be able to see Dippy without having booked in advance, as long as you don't mind having to queue for a free timeslot! As he is only with us for a short period of time, it is likely that demand will be high through the exhibition period, particularly at weekends.
- Can I change my ticket to another day?
At National Museums NI we will always endeavour to do our utmost to accommodate our visitors. If for some reason you are not able to attend your booked timeslot, please contact our Dippy Administrator on who is on hand to assist you. Tel: 028 9044 0067. - If I am a National Museums NI member do I need to book?
National Museums NI’s members who show valid membership cards at the ticket desk can gain entry without pre-booking.
