Getting Around

We may look a little different, but we still feel the same

We're open and are really looking forward to welcoming you back!

A recommended one-way flow system, with various exit points, will still provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the exhibitions at your leisure, and makes sure you never lose your way!

A one-in-one-out strategy, for certain areas will ensure you have the space you need to savour the experiences for as long as you like. Alternative routes are available for wheelchair users and buggies – talk to our team when you arrive to find out more.

To help you navigate the one-way system, we have placed markings on the floor to direct you to our history, nature and art galleries. We are also offering a quick access route to our art galleries. Our Visitor Map will help guide you around the museum safely.

For those with access needs, read our accessible social story about what to expect on your visit to the Ulster Museum.

Our lifts will be available for those that require them and we are limiting capacity in lifts to one household at a time.

You’ll be exiting through a different door than you arrive but we have plenty of signs to keep you right.

All of our discovery centres have reopened with new activities to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for our visitors and staff. Please be aware that this is currently with significantly reduced capacity throughout the day. Please ask one of our welcome guides on arrival for more information.
