Enjoy heart lifting performances by the popular Bluegrass Festival Choir and marvel at the number of home-grown acts now playing Bluegrass and Old-Time music across the country that will have you singing and dancing along with our visiting artists from near and far!
Appalachian Roadshow combines the award winning talents of lead singer and banjoist Barry Abernathy, tenor singer and mandolinist extraordinaire Darrell Webb, Grammy award winning fiddler and producer Jim VanCleve and legendary upright bassist Todd Phillips. On guitar is Zeb Snyder, a young phenom who has taken acoustic guitar circles by storm. The group seeks to honour the music, traditions and history of the great Appalachian people and regions as much as it does to forge its own fresh musical and entertainment trails. Each endeavour is infused with an authenticity and vitality borne of their Appalachian roots. Bluegrass Omagh is proud to present this band of musical brothers as our headline act for 2020.
Niall Toner Band are a top drawer bluegrass band from the Blackstairs mountain region of Ireland. Niall and his band perform a wide variety of original songs and instrumentals and their unique sound is a rich blend of traditional acoustic country music and bluegrass with a distinctive Celtic twist. The diversity of the band's set ranges from contemporary up-tempo Western Swing pieces like Mood Swing, to inspirational Gospel-style songs like Walk On Water, and the haunting Bill Monroe tribute, The Master's Resting Place. Niall Toner is widely regarded as one of Ireland's leading experts on Bluegrass and American Country Music, and he brings this knowledge of music to a wide audience, both through his live performances with NTB, various workshops, as well as through his Radio Show, Roots Freeway, which is broadcast on Ireland's National Radio Station, RTE Radio One.
