The Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR) has paired up with Seasearch Northern Ireland to explore the shoreline and seabed around Carlingford Lough. In order to discover as much coastal and marine wildlife as we can over the course of 2 days, we need your help!

Everyone welcome!

As well as divers and marine experts, we are seeking out enthusiastic volunteers who have an interest in local marine biodiversity and recording wildlife in general. Participants do not need to have any previous experience in marine recording, we are looking for people of all ages and backgrounds, so bring along your families and friends for a day of rambling along the shoreline of Carlingford Lough.

The BioBlitz provides a great opportunity to learn about our local marine life, improve your species identification skills and contribute to marine science. We will be holding presentations and teaching sessions at the Cloughmore Centre throughout the morning and experts will be on hand to help you improve your marine species ID skills and learn about Carlingford Lough’s marine biodiversity.
