Cinemagic Film Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary in October 2019, with a host of exciting, creative workshops and events for kids taking place in the Ulster Museum.

Cinemagic Film Festival for Young People’s 30th Anniversary Festival Programme comes to The Ulster Museum this autumn, with fun opportunities from the world of film and television not to be missed.

Highlights include family screenings of Grandpa’s Great Escape, Pete’s Dragon and Aardman Animation’s A Grand Day Out & A Close Shave.

Accessible screenings include Aladdin and Toy Story 4. The annual Cinemagic Pyjama Party returns with episodes of kids’ favourite pre-school series In The Night Garden and Creative workshops include Aardman model making, claymation, props making, sound design, poster making, puppet making and voice acting!

Cinemagic will be hosting its 30th Festival Birthday Party in The Ulster Museum, with a fun-filled afternoon featuring a music concert by Tom Sweeney and lots of celebrations for all the family!

Pete’s Dragon

A Kind woodcarver delights local children with stories of a mysterious dragon that lives deep in the woods. His daughter Grace believes these are just tall tales, until she meets Pete, a 10-year-old orphan who says he lives in the woods with a ‘giant’! With the help from a young girl named Natalie, Grace sets out to investigate if this fantastic claim can be true. This live-action remake of the 1977 children’s classic is an emotional and adventurous tale of loss, independence and the bonds of friendship.

Grandpa’s Great Escape

Former World War II flying ace Grandpa is unwell and has been forced to live in Twilight Towers, run by the despicable Miss Dandy. The Wind in the Willows

Scared Shrekless & Pumpkin Drama
