We're looking some budding farmhands to roll up their sleeves and celebrate the autumn harvest with us in the village of Ballycultra.
Pick the apples in our orchards and see them loaded onto the donkey and delivered to town and dig your hands into the earth to gather potatoes for your dinner.
Have a go at making butter, experience milling as you grind flour for hearty and traditional recipes or try your hand at flax pulling. See traditional rope making and the thrasher in action.
After you’ve worked the fields visit one of the many farmhouses and take in the aroma of open-hearth cooking as you sample some the produce harvested.
Taste some of our infamous soda and potato breads and pop into our printers for the recipes for you to recreate at home.
Join us in playing traditional games and say hello to our farm animals as you see them in action.
The Conservation Volunteers will be on hand giving lively and informative talks on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
There's an array of traditional craft demonstrations for you to see, tales of traditions of rural Ireland to be told and folk music for you to enjoy.
Harvest festivals were once an important part of community life, where neighbours gathered to celebrate. Come along and help us celebrate and enjoy some of the fruits of your labour on the day!
