Embroidered Cornucopia

Saturday 24th November

Time: 10.30am – 4.00pm

The Victorians reinvented Christmas as we know it. One of the items hanging on their tree would have been a cornucopia filled with sweets or little toys. Learn how to embroider a loved one’s initial onto a fabric cornucopia. It’s up to you then to fill it with goodies.

Traditional White Work Embroidery

Saturday 26th January

Time: 10.30am – 4.00pm

The tutor will teach you how to use a variety of traditional stitches on an original, ready prepared design which will be worked on a background of pure Irish linen.

Celtic Embroidery

Saturday 16th March

Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm

In the past, embroidery was used to decorate various items from clothes to cushions. Spend the day learning how to transfer a design to fabric and use a satin stitch alongside French knots to complete a Celtic knot.

Embroidered Birds

Saturday 18th May

Time: 2.00pm – 4.00pm

In the past, embroidery was used to decorate various items from clothes to cushions. Spend the afternoon learning how to sew simple embroidery stitches to decorate a small fabric bird.
