Saint Brigid’s Cross with Morning Coffee

Saturday 2nd February

Time: 10.00am – 12.00pm

It has been customary on the eve of St. Brigid’s Day (1st February) for people in Ireland to fashion a St. Brigid's Cross of straw or rushes. This was placed inside their house over the door and windows to protect the home from any kind of harm. During the morning participants will learn about this tradition and make two versions of a St. Brigid’s cross. Mid-morning coffee will be served in our Ballycultra Tea Room.

Fee: £25/£20 (concession) + includes materials
