This Hallowe’en enjoy some ghoulish Hallowe’en tales and learn about some of our folklore, passed from one generation to the next, as the dark winter nights creep in.

Meet our creepy characters like the ship's captain cleaning the decks from the last emigrants who survived the arduous journey across the Atlantic to the New World of Frontier America.

Have your fortune told and take part in seasonal games.  You'll discover some of our Harvest traditions which travelled from the Old World to the New and see the displays of traditional harvest fayre.

Taste some apple tart or pumpkin pie or some fresh soda bread straight from the open fire griddle.

See our beautiful display of traditional handmade dolls made from apples and pieces of leftover fabric.  Hear all about turnip lanterns which would have been carved in times gone by, long before pumpkins.
