The 20th of June is World Refugee Day. It is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour refugees around the globe. Around the same time, 20th to 26th is Refugee Week, a UK-wide festival enabling people from different backgrounds to connect beyond labels.
Ulster American Folk Park is marking Refugee Week with a series of informal talks each day beside its new sculpture. The sculpture has the title "Murmurations" and reflects links between Ulster and America. Migration is a major theme within it.
Talks will be taking place between 14.30 and 16.30 on June 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 26th.
The talk is free and entry to the museum is not required.
