Since the mid-nineteenth century painters have travelled, in the summer months, to artistic colonies in the countryside and coastline seeking inspiration from the natural environment and the companionship of their fellow artists.

Summer Days promise expeditions to the seaside, leisurely riverside walks, trips to beauty spots, picnics in parks and pleasure grounds and painterly responses to flora and fauna at the height of the holiday season.
