Thanksgiving is a time of celebration and giving thanks, when Americans throughout the world turn their thoughts to home and family. It’s a time to recall the determination of early New World settlers who set the foundations for the success of future generations of America.

Discover Thanksgiving of the past at Ulster American Folk Park, with a traditional 19th century celebration. Join the Partridges of Slippery Rock, Butler County in the Western Pennsylvania Log House as they prepare the turkey and anxiously await the return of their only son Joseph, an infantryman in the Union Army, with performances at 11:00, 14:00, and 15:30. Taste some traditional thanksgiving food like Succotash and apple pie in our Log Cabin, and try your hand at Barn Dancing to the Virginia Reel! Don’t miss The Minstrel Boys Living History as they perform American Union Civil War Solider re-enactments.
