Do clothes really maketh the man?

Find out on March 6th when Dr Benjamin Wild will be visiting the Ulster Museum to explore the history of menswear, and masculinities

Dr Benjamin Wild is an expert on the history of men’s fashion, a cultural historian, writer, co-host of the ‘Dress Fancy’ podcast on iTunes, and a Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University.

He has worked with BBC Radio 3, The Daily Beast, Condé Nast College of Fashion, Monocle, The National Portrait Gallery, The Royal Academy, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

His second book, A Life in Fashion: The Wardrobe of Cecil Beaton, was published by Thames & Hudson in 2016. Benjamin became a fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2017 and an Arts Society lecturer in 2018.
